Annabel Sall - director

Founding Director Annabel Sall graduated from Robert Gordon University with a BA (hons) in Corporate Communications. Annabel worked up to an Account Management role within a Scottish PR consultancy dealing with large business and consumer PR campaigns. In 2004, she embarked on her own business start-up and launched thinkPR. With the support of her team, thinkPR’s client base has expanded rapidly through word of mouth and referrals with a range of clients including SME’s to global oil firms. thinkPR doubled its turnover in 2007 and began 2008 with six figures of contract wins. Annabel and her team continue to offer a truly personal approach which is key to the service that has drawn so many businesses to thinkPR.
Julie Roberts - senior account manager

Graduating with a BA in publishing, Julie took up a much coveted internship at leading international magazine Marie Claire in London. Julie worked on a staff and freelance basis to build-up over 5 years experience as both a magazine and newspaper journalist – including writing and editing The Press and Journal’s career, business and lifestyle supplements. Moving into PR account management she has led large PR teams and major international clients to CIPR award level, by devising eye-catching PR and marketing campaigns. Julie’s 4 years of business to business PR account management expertise has included her leading the global communications of international oil and gas clients through MBOs, injections of capital funding, mergers and acquisitions and rapid global growth.

Fiona McWhirr - account director

Fiona has 13 years experience in journalism, the latter five as head of news at the Press and Journal. She was then head-hunted by Scottish Enterprise to be their communications manager for the north-east and for their energy team and was recognised for generating record levels of positive coverage. She has extensive media contacts throughout the UK, including oil and gas trade publications, and great experience of crisis management. Fiona managed press conferences for 50 journalists around Donald Trump’s first trip to the north-east, has handled company visits by Royal Family members and senior politicians and managed the media for the Scottish Offshore Achievement Awards.

Christine Kershaw - account manager

Christine graduated with a 1st class BA (hons) in Corporate Communications. In over 3 years working in a PR agency environment, Christine has successfully worked on campaigns within the Nautical, Commercial Property, Global Oil & Gas and Consumer industries. She has built strong media contacts, securing lead story coverage in the likes of The Herald and Press and Journal. With a keen eye for design and marketing, she oversees the production of several in-house oil and gas client publications and web news pages.

Yvonne Devine - account executive

Yvonne graduated from Dublin’s Fitzwilliam Institute with a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Relations with Event Management. She previously studied a BA in European Studies with French at the University of Limerick through which she spent a year working and studying in Toulouse and Aix en Provence, France. During her PR course Yvonne gained an invaluable work placement with a Dublin-based PR consultancy that kept her on permanently and later promoted her to Account Executive level. She has generated extensive coverage for clients primarily from the energy, corporate, financial, property, education and professional services sectors.

Emma Pollock - account executive

Emma graduated from Napier University with a BA (Hons) in Communication, Advertising and Public Relations in 2007.  Whilst studying, she gained valuable experience both in-house at Ernst & Young, and at a national PR agency.  After university, Emma worked for a PR consultancy in Edinburgh as a graduate trainee, later being promoted to Account Executive level.  In this role, she secured extensive coverage for a range of property, technology, consumer, retail and sports clients, and with a keen interest in creative writing, Emma enjoys adapting her writing style across a variety of sectors.

Ashleigh Barbour - junior account executive

Ashleigh has worked with thinkPR since 2007, during which time she also studied Corporate Communications BA (hons) at the Robert Gordon University. Having recently completed the course with a first class degree, Ashleigh has joined thinkPR more permanently and looks forward to having more time to get involved with client projects.
